Research summary
This past summer I worked in the lab of Dr. Ali Ellebedy. During my rotation I studied how clones of B cell receptors underwent affinity maturation in the germinal center reaction after influenza vaccine. I aimed to characterize the dynamics and evolution of BCR clones. In addition, I learned how to clone and purify antibodies for in vitro analysis. I also learned how to use a mouse model of influenza infection to answer questions about a given antibody’s physiological properties.
