Research summary
Previous work in the Stitziel lab has identified that endotrophin (a cleavage product of COL6A3) protein levels are causally associated with coronary artery disease risk. However, the mechanisms by which endotrophin may modulate coronary artery disease risk are poorly understood. My work seeks to investigate other proteins with causal relationships with endotrophin to help elucidate endotrophin’s role in coronary artery disease.
