Research summary
The differentiation of monocytes after cardiac injury is an important factor for determining the degree and type of healing that occurs in the heart. However, the signals that control this differentiation after injury are poorly understood. My work focuses on uncovering the important factors controlling monocyte differentiation, specifically the factors that contribute to CCR2+ macrophage differentiation.
