Research summary
I am fundamentally interested in protein science, particularly in the chemistry and biology of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs). I find it fascinating that many proteins implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, as well as key regions of transcription factors, are intrinsically disordered. My goal is to better understand these proteins—their structure, dynamics, and function—and to explore how intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) and IDPs can be studied and manipulated in the context of the immune system and neurodegenerative diseases.

More broadly, I am interested in applying chemistry to address biological questions, particularly through the use of biochemical and chemical approaches to study immunological systems and problems.
