Research summary
I am in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Henderson, studying surgical site infections. We are currently using metabolomic techniques to (1) look for early biomarkers of infection, before clinical symptoms are present (2) determine ways that bacteria interact with the host and each other during infections and co-infections using metabolites and their alterations.
