Research summary
In my first lab rotation, I used bulk RNA-seq data from two ongoing pancreatic cancer clinical trials to perform an unsupervised analysis of tumor transcriptome signatures. The primary objectives were to evaluate the heterogeneity within the clinical trial cohort and identify molecular sub-types of the tumors. By exploring the genes and pathways that characterize the principal components of these signatures, the project aimed to delineate the underlying molecular architecture of pancreatic cancer.
